Aggregates, including sand, gravel and crushed stone, constitute an important component of concrete. Both water-borne deposits and various rock formations of granites, limestones and basalts provide high quality raw materials for both ready mix concrete and concrete products. Aggregates are also sold for structural fill, road base, railway ballast and decorative stone. Aggregates are manufactured to comply with the applicable CSA or ASTM Standards.
