Ocean Concrete - Granville Island Plant Open House
Ocean Concrete, partnered with the Granville Island Business and Community Association, contributes to the mixed-use look and feel of live, work, shop, play & learn culture of Granville Island. Ocean provides the industrial component of this mix. Ocean is proud to be a part of this dynamic community and spends much time and effort at being a good neighbor with: annual public Open Houses; themed ready mix trucks; support of the Arts and many other community involvements.
Ocean Concrete is the oldest and largest tenant on Granville Island. Ocean’s presence on the Island was established in 1917 and the current lease expires in 2046.
Ocean has painted drums of their ready mix trucks to look like fruit and vegetables as a fun way to promote the Granville Island Market. The Asparagus truck is one of Ocean’s Harvest Series, which also includes truck drums that look like ear of corn and a strawberry.
